Power of radio for learning

Radio was an important medium in the early 1940s for learning, especially children's learning.  Perhaps this was a pre-cursor to educational podcasts?

This article looks at how school broadcasts will play an important role in the education of students in Western Australia.  We've been unable to find which newspaper this is from.
